The home page
1. Your account
Your name is displayed at the top left of your screen. Click your name to access your profile. If you have a Guest account, as you can see on the screnshot above, you will see a registration form instead.
The green meter below your name shows your current VRI level. The progress bar gives you an idea of how close you are to the next level.
The number in the blue area of the circular button (currently "-" on the screenshot above) is your eSailing World Championship ranking. Click it to see the ranking in your country, as well as your ELO.
2. Connection button
This button appears when you are not logged in. Click it to log in to an existing account, or to create a new account.
3. Your in-game currency and the store
Red chips are credits, blue chips are stickers and green chips are tokens. The shopping cart icon gives you access ot the store where you can purchase credits, unlock stickets and tokens, and start your VIP subscription.
4. Your language
Click the flag to switch the game to one of the 10 available languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese and Dutch).
5. Private games and the sailing school
Private games are custom games you can create to play with your friends. Creating a private game costs 200 credits (free if you have a VIP account).
The "Sailing School" is the game tutorial, where you can discover the game and all its features.
6. Challenges
In this section, you can see the challenges that are currently active, with their details and the number of players who participated in each. In addition, you can view the ranking of the most recently completed challenge. To enter an eSailing World Championship challenge, you must be signed in to an existing account.
7. Boat customization
This button lets you customize your boats with paint and logos, which can be purchased using stickers.
8. Your friends
Find your friends list here, and see their ranking.
9. Messages
Use this button to access your private messages.
10. Barrels
When you finish a race, you receive a random barrel that contains rewards.
11. News
Access all game-related news from here.
12. Your track record
Get access to your past achievements here: you will see every race you entered, how well you did, and how many points you earned.
13. Settings
Click this button to access the game settings. You can customize visual quality, the units of measurement, and turn the music and sound effects on and off.
You can also change the display language from this menu.
The race interface
1. The map
This section gives you real-time information on the race course and the position of your competitors. Click it (or press the C key on your keyboard) to see the race from above.
2. The race timer
You can see your timer here, as well as how many race marks you passed and how many are left.
3. The race ranking
This section shows your ranking and how far you are from the other competitors. You will also see the countries your competitors are from, and the color of their boat.
4. Race tools
These buttons allow you to perform specific actions in game:
- Auto Best VMG: you can unlock this with tokens before the race begins. This allows you to optimize the course of your boat, taking into account the next course mark and the angle of the wind.
- The red button allows you to tack while maintaining your angle to the wind.
- The yellow button allows you to flock your sails, which shows your boat down and eventually stops it.
- The blue button allows you to switch sails, which optimizes your speed according to your course.
5. Messages and emojis
Use this button to send short predefined messages and emojis to your competitors.
6. Boat speed
These numbers indicate your current speed and VMG. If your VMG is optimal, as is the case on the screenshot above, your speed turns green. When your VMG is not optinal, a visual indicator appears showing you the optimal VMG. The green mark next to the boat icon indicates that your boat is speeding up. It turns red when your boat is slowing down.
7. Wind angle and wind speed
These numbers indicate the wind angle and how strong it is.
8. Settings
Click this button to access various settings such as sound effects, music and game language, and to return to the main menu.
